As a business owner or manager, you may know that the cost of hiring and training good employees is high. Keeping an employee that has the necessary knowledge to help your company thrive is always the preferred goal over replacement. Sometimes our employees experience conflicts with one another or with management. These conflicts may cause lower morale, less productivity or the threat of losing good employees. This is where conflict resolution is important. The idea of mediation is to get all parties involved to come up with a solution to the conflict together with the assistance of a qualified mediator. This process varies slightly depending on circumstances but in all situations, the certified mediator is a neutral party there to assist the parties in creating a meaningful and lasting solution.
